Investor Suitability and Background Check

In order to participate in our EB-5 projects, all immigrant investors will be required to complete our investor suitability questionnaires, provide background information and agree to a background check.  To view and complete our questionnaires, please click here.

Immigrant investors should be aware that the USCIS will conduct a background check on immigrant investors once the I-526 Petition is submitted and may request additional information.  Likewise, before the adjudication and receipt of immigrant visas at a U.S. Consulate abroad, the immigrant investor and accompanying family members will undergo a background check.  The same is the case for immigrant investors and accompanying family members filing for Adjustment of Status with the USCIS.

Immigrant investors should also be aware that obtaining the conditional and permanent Green Cards will subject them and their accompanying family members to U.S. taxation on their worldwide income.  Immigrant investors are advised to consult with their financial advisors and licensed accountants to prepare a pre-immigration tax plan to help minimize this tax burden.  Our Regional Center professionals have extensive experience with these issues and can assist with and recommend professionals that can prepare such pre-immigration tax plans.
